Of these, by business owners who understand and practice affirmative action through PMEGP programs — there are even more reasons than left unsaid that would reinstate in the next generation to being. This paper will thus deal with these benefits, providing a step-by-step guide on how to avail PMEGP for your business.
Benefits of Going with PMEGP
Strong Support System
Jugaad was created for India. It may not be present or part of our daily lives in the United States, but it is to India and Indian history since antiquity. Jugaad means getting the most out of what resources are available to you– making do with that. PMEGP is a little like Jugaad. It’s an organization that has stood the test of time, and even with just ordinary people coming together to do their bit they have created a system such as this which can drive massive change (and has already done so). PMEGP exists today, where it has not before: how failed start-ups could people call as a result of this? Banks would close them down immediately. PMEGP banks on the ability of ordinary people to come together and influence both policy at local level and laws or judgements on a national one just because they do have some experience six levels down in face-to-face negotiations.
Financial Assistance and Subsidies
Margin Money Subsidy: PMEGP offers a margin money subsidy accounting for substantial part of the project cost. For the general catagory in urban areas, the subsidy is 15%, for special categories it is 25% (SC/ST/OBC/minorities, etc. ). In rural areas, it is 25% for the general category and 35% special categories. The maximum project cost eligible for subsidy is Rs. 50 lakhs in the manufacturing sector and Rs. 20 lakhs in business/service sector. Financing of Process: Existing units established under PMEGP, REGP or MUDRA schemes may obtain financial assistance for upgrading, up to Rs. 1 crore manufacturing units and Rs. 25 lakh service/trading units with a subsidy of 15-20%.
Enhanced Access to Credit
PMEGP makes it easier for us to secure bank credit, eliminating the heavy burden on entrepreneurs. Banks are legally required to provide us with the remaining project cost (after margin money subsidy and owner’s contribution), thus enabling us to acquire the necessary funds for setting up or expanding your business.
This section aims to give the PMEGP beneficiary the clues of how to make the business grow smoothly.
Backward and Forward Linkages: It provides activities like the awareness camp, training program, exhibition, marketing support services etc in order for companies to thrive and develop comprehensively.
Entrepreneurship Development Programme (EDP): Entertaining places provide training for them on things such as financing, marketing, running the business and how to handle their companies according to the law – thus making it feasible.
Marketing and Promotion
KVIC and other such organizations hold various activities, including exhibitions, workshops and sellers’ conferences, as a means of creating purchases from products manufactured by PMEGP units. These enhance both market coverage and brand visibility.
Inclusive Growth
PMEGP supports inclusive growth through offering higher subsidies and help to such special categories as ST/ST/OBC, minorities, women, ex-servicemen as well as the handicapped. It allows them to establish businesses themselves.
Employment Generation
By creating new enterprises in this way, PMEGP promotes the employment of workers, thus serving business owners even better; it also contributes to regional overall development.
